The-Apparently-Not-An-Objectivist-But-Still-One-Hell-Of-A-Rand-Fan Quote of the Day 23/10/08

"Human nature is probably too primitive at this time to accept Rand's ideas." - commenter Herbsewell

  1. Seeing that Homo sapiens are and will always be primates, I guess that means there will never be a time we'll all accept Rand's ideas.

But who knows, maybe a race of Homo superiors or some other sort of Übermenschen will come along in a few million years who will be more receptive to Rand's ideas.

  2. David,

Are you the same David that runs this particular website?

  3. Thank-you very much for quoting me out of context. I was really wondering whether or not this website had any integrity at all after reading some of the grotesquely illogical ideas, but this post really sealed this website's identity of being completely without merit.

  4. Ironically, I'm not even an Objectivist.

  6. I would absolutely love to hear the justification for that ad hominem.

Sounds pompous and like something a real tool would say.

A description is not an ad hominem

  8. Also you have no idea of what an ad hominem is. Typical randroid.

  9. Essentially the point of your comment was to somehow to discredit my argument. You could have criticized my thesis for being unfounded or invalid, or you could have used defamation. You chose the latter. When you decided to use personal attacks as oppose to addressing the substance of my argument or producing evidence against my claim, you used an ad hominem argument.

"Sounds pompous and like something a real tool would say."

    That's certainly quite a coincidence.
