Nathaniel Branden has died, aged 84.

Reason and the Huffington Post provide obituaries.

Here's his essay "The Benefits and Hazards of Ayn Rand" to mark his passing.

Update: Neil Parille points me to Chris Sciabarra's memorial post.

Are You A Rand Cultist, Or Just A Fan? Take This Simple Test To Find Out.

what they"re saying about the ARCHNblog:

"This wonderful blog chronicles exactly why and to what extent Ayn Rand was horribly incorrect on a number of issues. This is for the fence-sitting and fanatic but otherwise intelligent Objectivist alike. If the latter even exists. Highly recommended, but come prepared with your Rand collection..." - Commerican at Stumbleupon
